Meet “Hammer.” He came to us from Jason and Brook Foland of Highland, Kansas. Hammer is out of Three Creeks’ Xena (Bay Apache’s Newt X Blue Pepper) who is a granddaughter of the baypen champion, Blue Sky’s Hondo. Hammer is sired by a dog named Zeb (Oskaloosa’s Josie Mac X CX’s McPatches). Hammer is dual registered with the NALC and with the UKC. His Breeding Coefficient is 0% and his Ancestor Loss Coefficient is 96.66667%. He is a New Year’s Day 2016 baby so he will really be coming into his own now. Hammer is a red leopard patchwork with a “split face” and double blue glass-eyes. Hammer weighs in at a lean 65 pounds and he is 24 inches at his withers. We figure once he matures a bit more he will be carrying about 5 more pounds on his frame.
Hammer is showing huge potential in all areas. His speed and catty athleticism is going to prove golden for sure. He has an unrelenting drive to work and hunt. We haven’t found things or animals that he will not hunt or work as of yet. (We like that). He is a “talker” at times when he is bored but he seems to only “give voice” when he is working or hunting when it is absolutely necessary. He is a show stopper in the conformation ring as well and we are hoping to watch him earn his UKC championship later this year.
We have decided to have him sire his first litter this year and we have some high hopes and expectations for his puppies that come from that breeding. Stay tuned to this website to see those updates to come.
