Fargo's Page

Our family would never be complete without a Golden Retriever. I joined a wonderful Golden list just so I could read about Golden's every day. I couldn't stand it any longer and decided that my Labby girls needed a Golden puppy. I started looking and answering e-mails about puppies from rescue who needed homes. Then a post from Deb Haggerty about a little male needing a home, I answered, she answered me back, I couldn't believe it! He was in Woodland, many miles away.

My oldest daughter Cindy was visiting from Oregon and we were driving back to Oregon together for a mini-vacation. We stopped at Deb's for me to meet the little rescue. I fell in love as soon as I saw him. He found a home with us. We decided to name him Fargo.

Now we had to find a way to get him home. There was a CUR (canine underground railroad) run formed by Helen Redlus and Deb Haggerty. With the help of 6 wonderful people who drove him in shifts, Fargo arrived home on July 18, 1998. He is one special boy and now my two legged and four legged family is complete!

This is my sweet boy at 22 months. He now is 25" tall and weighs in at 86 pounds. He is growing into a very wonderful loving guy.
